Traditional vs New Media Marketing Mix

I take a different view on social media.

Speak to any retail brand owner and they will tell you that their stores lose sales to the internet.

Ask any retail brand owner why they sell online and they will tell you “that’s where the customers are”

Walk down most traditional high-streets in the land and you’ll notice something missing. The brands.

The Traditional Marketing Mix has been the bedrock for business for over 50 years.

The Traditional Marketing Mix: * Product – * Price – * Place – * Promotion has changed

Things have moved on somewhat in the past few years, the product mix is still hugely important but * Place and * Promotion have changed. (see images below)

Anyone who says social media is, is a waist of time or pointless or just a fad is either hiding from something they do not understand or possibly they fear it. (in my opinion)
